Solitaire Edge: Klondike overview

Klondike solitaire, the classic patience card game, with nothing between you and the next deal. Draw one or draw three. Standard or Vegas scoring. Multi-step undo. Drag or tap. It plays offline, and nothing pops up while you play. DEALS YOU CAN WIN In Guaranteed mode, every deal comes from a set a solver has already played through to a win with Standard scoring, in both Draw 1 and Draw 3. Playing with Standard scoring, if you lose, the cards were not the reason. Classic mode deals at random for anyone who wants the old gamble on the shuffle. A HINT THAT TELLS YOU HOW SURE IT IS A typical solitaire hint points at any legal move. The Solitaire Edge hint searches for a line that still wins from your current position and shows you its first move. When it cannot prove one in time, it falls back to a safe move chosen by rule rather than by a full search, and when it has to guess, it marks the guess clearly. A COACH, AFTER THE GAME The Coach tells you whether the deal can still be won. When it can pin down the move where the win slipped away, it points to that move and lets you rewind to it and try again. When it cannot tell, it says so. It is a way to get better at Klondike, not a lecture. TODAY'S DEAL One deal a day for Draw 1 and one for Draw 3, the same for every player. EVERYTHING ELSE • Statistics for every draw and scoring mode, including win and losing streaks • Your own leaderboards for each mode: best score, fewest moves and best time • An optional running Vegas total that carries your points from deal to deal • Colour-blind suits: hearts and diamonds drawn hollow, clubs and spades solid • A choice of card back colours • A game clock and move count • Sound you can switch off • Works on phones and tablets WHAT ELSE IS IN THE APP A More Games tab lists our other apps. Made by one independent developer who wanted a solitaire game that stays out of your way.
