Karnex Chat overview

Karnex Chat lets your KarnexDesk team take live chats from your customers on an Android phone, the same way the Karnex Chat app works on Windows and Linux computers. HOW IT WORKS • Set yourself Available and new chats from your support portal ring on your phone, with an Accept chat button right in the notification. • The first person on your team to accept has the chat; everyone else sees it taken. • Reply, open the ticket in Karnex, or end the chat. The ticket stays in KarnexDesk. • Set yourself Away when you're done: the app stops and new chats go to your teammates. SIGNING IN Karnex Chat never asks for your password. On your computer, open Karnex, go to Tickets > Settings > Live chat, choose Sign in on a phone and scan the code with your phone's camera. Or, in the Karnex Viewer app on the same phone, open Settings and choose Sign in to Karnex Chat. You confirm who you are signing in as before the app keeps the sign-in. STAYS CONNECTED WHILE YOU'RE AVAILABLE While you're Available, Karnex Chat keeps a small notification showing and checks in with KarnexDesk every few seconds so chats ring right away, even with the screen off. This uses some battery; set yourself Away to stop it. Karnex Chat needs a Karnex account with KarnexDesk (karnex.org). It shows no ads and doesn't track you.
