Stormval overview

Stormval is a Wear OS watch face background built around the paradox of watching a fierce storm from the safety of shelter. The art captures that rare emotional blend of raw natural drama and deep personal calm, rendered entirely in flat vector illustration for a clean, modern look on any display. The scene unfolds across a deep AMOLED black sky where towering storm clouds crowd the lower and outer edges of the composition. These brooding masses are layered in smooth near-black and dark charcoal shapes, their billowing silhouettes softly lit from within by warm amber and teal glowing highlights that hint at distant inner lightning. The effect is atmospheric without being cluttered. A single bold lightning bolt strikes from the upper region down toward the cloud mass, rendered in bright teal-white with a warm golden core. It casts a soft radiant bloom across the surrounding sky, the only sharp element in an otherwise quiet composition. The upper and central areas remain deliberately open, a pure AMOLED black gradient dotted with faint teal-tinted atmospheric haze, creating clear negative space for watch hands and complications to remain fully legible. The color palette is tight and purposeful. Rich blacks dominate, preserving battery life on OLED panels. Teal accents carry the electric energy of the storm. Warm amber undertones bleed along cloud edges, adding a cozy, fire-lit feeling that softens the drama. There are no gradients beyond gentle flat layering, no textures, no people, and no decorative text, keeping the vector aesthetic sharp and the mood immersive.
