Alongside new superpowered laptops and a MacBook Neo rival, Lenovo has introduced two flagship Yoga Android tablets that aim to deliver a high-end tablet experience without compromise.
Both models were announced at Innovation World during IFA and are scheduled to be available this month.
The Yoga Tab Gen 2 features an 11.1-inch 4K display and runs Android 17 out of the box. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and includes an 11,000 mAh battery designed for extended use between charges. Memory and storage options include up to 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and the tablet supports microSD expansion. The device is notably slim at just 8.56mm thick, combining a compact profile with a bright, high-resolution panel intended for streaming, gaming, and productivity.

The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 steps up to a 13-inch 4K display and is built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform for stronger performance in demanding apps and games. Standard configurations include 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with higher options available up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage plus microSD support. It also ships with Android 17 and includes a larger 12,700 mAh battery to support the larger screen and heavier workloads. Despite the larger display and battery, the Plus model remains thin at 8.27mm.

A distinctive design element on both tablets is a small status LED/screen on the back. Lenovo describes this feature as primarily decorative, though it can synchronize with music, video, and games to provide visual feedback. It is a different implementation from other manufacturers’ lighting features and is intended as a playful, ambient accent rather than a core functional element.
Lenovo promises a long update commitment for both tablets: seven years of support, which the company specifies as updates through Android 24 and security updates through 2033. On the software front, the tablets come loaded with Lenovo’s AI suite and expanded support for the new Tab Pen Pro 2 stylus. The stylus adds several productivity gestures and shortcuts, including Squeeze to Create, Double Tap actions, Click the pen tail to Draw, Double-Click the pen tail to Record, and Flip to Erase. Both tablets support keyboard accessories; the Plus model includes a one-step magnetic keyboard clamshell that adds laptop-like convenience for typing and productivity.
Lenovo lists the Yoga Tab Gen 2 at $729.99 and the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 at $999.99. Availability is slated for this month, with final regional pricing and configurations likely to vary by market.
