Walmart’s Onn brand may not be the first name that comes to mind for Android tablets, but its new lineup includes six models that ship with Android 16 and offer competitive specifications for the price. The range covers sizes from 7 inches to 13 inches and includes two kid-focused options, giving shoppers a variety of choices depending on budget and use case.
The new Onn tablets are available online and in stores. The full lineup includes: a 13-inch Onn 13 Pro priced at $288, an 11-inch Onn 11 Core at $167, an 8.1-inch Onn 8.1 Core at $138, a 7-inch Onn 7 Core at $97, and two children’s models with 11- and 8-inch screens priced at $136 and $118 respectively. All six arrive with Android 16 preinstalled.
At the top of the range, the Onn 13 Pro is positioned as the flagship model. It features a 13-inch 2400×1600 IPS LCD display and is powered by an undisclosed MediaTek processor running at up to 2.6GHz. The tablet includes 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera. The 13 Pro also supports a stylus and ships with a stylus and a folio case in the box. Early impressions and images indicate an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, an “Extended Display Mode” for productivity, and face recognition capability.

The Onn 11 Core targets mainstream users who want a larger display without the flagship price. It has an 11-inch 1840×1280 IPS LCD, runs on a MediaTek MT8781N chipset (also known as the Helio G99), and includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Camera hardware is basic — a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera — but the tablet supports microSD cards for storage expansion. It’s offered in several colors, including Silver, Navy, Mocha, and Pink. Walmart lists battery life figures that vary by source, with around 15 to 17 hours claimed. Some images show the device being used with a pencil-style stylus, though the product listing does not explicitly confirm stylus compatibility.

Smaller, but still capable, the Onn 8.1 Core includes an 8.1-inch 1524×1000 IPS LCD and is powered by a Snapdragon 685 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Like the 11-inch Core, it uses a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera and supports microSD expansion. The compact size is a welcome option in a market where small Android tablets are rare, especially at this price, and the 8.1 Core is available in the same colorways as the 11-inch model.

The most affordable model in the Core series is the Onn 7 Core, a compact 7-inch tablet priced at $97. It uses a modest 1024×600 LCD display and runs Android 16 on a Helio G80 chipset. The 7 Core includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, plus a microSD slot for expansion. Both front and rear cameras are 2MP, and the device is offered in the same color palette as the larger Core models. The listing indicates an aluminum construction for at least some models, which suggests a more solid build than many low-cost tablets.

Walmart also introduced two kid-oriented Onn tablets. Both are protected by thick bumper cases that add drop protection and an integrated kickstand, and both include a kid-friendly software environment. Each kid tablet comes with a 45-day free subscription to ABC Mouse for educational content. The 11-inch kids model has an 1840×1280 IPS LCD, a MediaTek G88 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and stylus support. The 8-inch kids tablet offers a 1524×1000 display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and an unspecified MediaTek processor. Both are available in child-friendly colors such as blue, purple, orange, and pink.
